CHENNAI: Eight Chennai Corporation school students will visit a NASA research centre in the US in July as part of the 'Wings to Fly' education tour scheme, a corporation statement said on Friday.
The students -- S Raj Kumar (Class X) and R Gopinath (Class VIII) of Chennai Higher Secondary School, Koyambedu; S Prema (Class X) of Chennai Girls Higher Secondary School, Pulla Avenue; G Yogesh (Class XI) of Chennai Boys Higher Secondary School, Saidapet; I Adhavan (Class VIII) of Chennai High School, Vannia Teynampet; T Subash (Class IX) of Chennai High School, Ardoon Road; P Reshma Kumari (Class VIII) of Chennai High School, Koyyathoppu and D Kavyanjali (Class VII) of Chennai Higher Secondary School, Ayanavaram -- will fly to the US and visit the NASA space research centre and other locations between July 4 and July 14.

On Friday, municipal administration minister S P Velumani met the students and congratulated them on being selected for the trip.

In the previous two years, seven corporation school students visited Germany and Malaysia on a similar tour programme.
