Centre has given its approval for an outlay of ₹7,530 cr..

The Legislative Assembly will re-assemble on July 2 for presenting the budget for 2018-19, it was notified on Friday.

On the first day, Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy, who holds the Finance portfolio, will present the budget at 10 a.m, a communication from the Assembly Secretariat said.

The House, which was reconvened earlier on June 5 to present the budget, was adjourned sine die minutes after it convened following a communication from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs seeking certain clarifications on Central grants. The MHA had sought clarification from the government on how it had arrived at a figure of ₹360 crore as grant-in-aid for Centrally sponsored schemes in the plan outlay fixed for the current financial year. The State Planning Board had fixed a plan outlay of ₹7,530 crore for this financial year, an increase of ₹585 crore over the last financial year.

The MHA gave its approval for the budget early this week after the government clarified its position on grant-in-aid from the Centre. Sources in the government said the house would be convened for 15 to 20 days.

When the House is in session, the case related to the nomination of three BJP leaders as legislators by the Centre would come up or hearing in the Supreme Court. A top BJP functionary told The Hindu that the case was likely to come up in the first week of July.
