When Riverdale ended its second season, one thing was clear: Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) is the worst -- but that might not be true for long.

Despite being evil enough to have Archie (KJ Apa) framed for murder, there are potentially darker forces than Hiram and his mob dealings heading to the small town. "Hiram is definitely, definitely, definitely one of our big bads," Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa teased to TV Guide.

Oh lord, does this mean Nick St. Clair (Graham Phillips) has an even seedier twin brother or something we should be worried about? While Aguirre-Sacasa wasn't willing to be that forthcoming, but he did reveal that there will be one (or two!) more villains entering the picture when The CW drama returns.

"Riverdale is a small town, but a big place," Aguirre-Sacasa teased.

Riverdale returns Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 8/7c on The CW.
