The standalone picture, “Walking on hope” (‘World page’, June 22), and its caption that described how a Syrian father, who is handicapped, has made a pair of prosthetic limbs for his daughter out of tin cans filled with cotton and scraps of cloth, left me speechless. I hope the picture jolts the medical world into action. India should act.
