BHUBANESWAR: A woman employee was killed when she came under the wheels of a
passenger train near the
Bhubaneswar railway station on Friday.
She was identified as
Madhusmita Pradhan, 35, a staff of the
East Coast Railway (ECoR). She was staying at her quarter near the running room of the station.
She was run over by
Rourkela intercity express at around 2pm while she was passing the train line. She lost her limbs after the accident. She was rushed to the
Capital Hospital and then shifted to a private hospital. But she was declared dead.
Her body was kept at Railway Central Hospital. She was appointed on rehabilitation basis after death of her husband. She was on leave on Friday, said a railway spokesman.
