Man arrested after bomb threat at London's Charing Cross station

A man has been arrested at a major London transportation hub after claiming to have a bomb, British Transport Police said Friday. Charing Cross station had been evacuated following reports of a man on the tracks with a bomb at about 6:35 a.m. London time, or 1:35 a.m. U.S. Eastern Time. British Transport Police said armed officers were at the scene, while London's Metropolitan Police said there were no injuries. Underground trains for the Northern Line were running again after being stopped, said Transport for London, and overground rail authorities said their part of the station was open.
