U.S. benchmark oil futures finished with a modest loss on Thursday, as traders assessed the news tied to the OPEC summit in Vienna and comments from major oil producers. The joint ministerial monitoring committee comprised of members of OPEC and non-member allies were meeting Thursday to discuss compliance with their output-cut agreement. A decision on whether to raise production is expected within the next couple of days, with OPEC members set to meet Friday and OPEC and non-OPEC members meeting Saturday.
