Polices uses force to control crowd at Darshan programme of Yogi

The police had to use force in Gorakhpur to control a crowd which had come for Janata Darshan programme of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The CM listened to peoples' problems and asked officers to take remedial steps immediately.

Yogi arrived in Gorakhpur to attend a meeting of office bearers and on Wednesday morning he held a Janata Darshan at at the Hindu Sevashram in Gorakhnath temple premises. Initially, the plan was that the CM would listen to the grievances of 300 people but as the word spread, a large crowd assembled at the temple premises.

As the crowd swelled, the police used mild force to disperse them. Later, the CM asked District Magistrate (Gorakhpur) Vijendra Pandiyan and SSP Shalabh Mathur to listen to the complaints of the people.

Earlier, the CM gave a patient hearing to over 300 applicants and assured them of every possible help. The darbar started around 10 am though applicants thronged the place since early morning.

Earlier, Yogi offered prayers in Gorakhnath temple and sought blessings of his Guru Awaidnath. Later he gave fodder to cows and calves befoire heading towards the venue.

After the Darbar, Yogi met with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers and officials of Gorakhpur, Basti and Azamgarh divisions. 

Yogi also instructed party workers to speed up public meetings and coordination before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
