Jammu sizzles at 40.6 degrees Celsius

Sweltering heat continued to haunt people of the region as day jumped to a high of 40.6 degrees Celsius, 2.4 notches above normal limit.

The city had recorded a high of 37.5 degrees yesterday, the highest in the past week, the said.

Minimum in the city was recorded at 25.6 degrees

Katra, the base camp for the in district, was the second hottest place in the region with a high of 36.7 degrees

It recorded a low of 23.6 degrees Celsius, the weatherman said.
