President Donald Trump spoke at a campaign rally in Duluth, Minn., on Wednesday night, where he mocked the so-called “elite.”

“You ever notice they always call the other side ‘the elite.’ The elite! Why are they elite? I have a much better apartment than they do. I’m smarter than they are. I’m richer than they are. I became president and they didn’t.”

Trump’s appearance at the event was to endorse Republican House candidate Pete Stauber, and came hours after he signed an executive order stopping his administration’s policy of separating children from their parents at the border.

In his speech, Trump largely avoided the issue of the separations, though he did touch on immigration, vowing to protect the nation’s borders and calling the surviving family members of murder victims the real victims of illegal immigration. In fact, a number of studies have found that undocumented immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than natural-born Americans.

Speaking to a full house, Trump also praised his recent summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, saying: “Chairman Kim... will turn that country into a great, successful country.”

The crowd, in addition to the usual chants of “Lock her up!” and “CNN sucks!,” added a new one to the repertoire: “Space Force!” in reference to the proposed new branch of the military that Trump announced earlier this week.
