Nickel, zinc upbeat on industrial demand

Select base metals, and traded higher at the non-ferrous market today on the back of increased demand from consuming industries.

Traders attributed the rise in prices to increased demand from alloy-makers.

In the national capital, plate (4x4) traded higher by Rs 6 to Rs 874-877 per kg.

ingot, too, traded higher by Rs 3 to Rs 137-143 per kg.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per kg):

ingot Rs 137-143, nickel plate (4x4) Rs 874-877, gun scrap Rs 227, bell scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 431, chadri deshi Rs 295.

Lead ingot Rs 137, lead imported Rs 144, aluminium ingots Rs 168, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 164, aluminium wire scrap Rs 164 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 162.
