A social activist M.G. Hegde threw a social concern challenge to the MP, MLAs, Deputy Commissioner and Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer of Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday to use recycled waste water in their houses or official residences.
Addressing presspersons Mr. Hegde said that he has challenged them through various social media platforms.
He said that he has been using recycled waste water in his house in the city since a month for flushing in toilets and gardening and it costs him ₹35,000. The cost of building structures and facilities for it varied from house to house.
“Do your bit to the society. Be it education, health, environment or any other social issues you are concerned about upload a video to inspire (challenge) others to do the same,” he said.
