UHRICHSVILLE The city has sold its 19-year-old ladder truck to a technical college in LaCrosse, Wisc., for $65,000, according to Mayor Rick Dorland.
He said Western Technical College will use it for its firefighter training program. The buyers drove the 75-foot Smeal ladder truck away on Tuesday morning. It was sold through a brokerage.
The city's new 78-foot ladder truck saw its first fire on April 29 on Packer Street, Dorland said. The 2018 E-One HP78 cost approximately $850,000.
