Zach Johnson, a Cedar Rapids native in case you’re into the hometown thing, shot a 7-under-par 63 Thursday to share the first-round lead with Jordan Spieth at the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Conn.

Here are his birdies according to the PGA Tour’s site:

No. 4: 32-foot putt

No. 5: 74-foot chip

No. 11: 18-foot putt

No. 12: 16-foot putt

No. 13: 3-foot putt

No. 14: 4-foot putt

No. 15: 4-foot putt

No. 16: 15-foot putt

A bogey on 17 tapped the brakes on the momentum. Then he almost holed out for birdie from 108 yards on No. 18, and tapped in for par.

If the 12-time PGA Tour-winner posts three more 63s, he’ll be fine. Or even three 64s.
