Priyanka Chopra’s memoirs will be a ‘collection of personal essays, stories, and observations’.

Priyanka Chopra on Wednesday shared the first image of the cover of her upcoming memoirs, titled Unfinished. The actor announced the ‘collection of personal essays, stories, and observations’ on June 19.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote, “The feeling of checking something off your ‘bucket list’ gives you an indescribable sense of accomplishment...and that’s where I am in this moment. I’ve always wanted to write a book, but the timing never felt right. With each opportunity that presented itself, my first instinct was always to wait...because I wasn’t (and I’m still not) finished. I wanted to do more, live more, and achieve more, before putting pen to paper and exposing things I’ve always kept private to the world. But looking back on my life as a public person, I’m super proud of what I’ve done and where my life is right now. I’ve realized you don’t have to be finished to tell your story, and that sometimes life’s greatest lessons are taught along the ride...when you’re still figuring things out...when you’re #unfinished.”

A fashionably candid Priyanka appears on the cover, smiling with her eyes closed and wearing a black top against a green background.

Unfinished will be published by Random House, who tweeted that they were ‘so excited to be publishing’ the book.

Meru Gokhale, Editor-in-Chief, Penguin Random House India, said: “I met Priyanka Chopra for the first time when she delivered the Penguin Annual Lecture in New Delhi in 2017, and was amazed at the way people in the audience, and especially young women, responded to her words, her provocation and her rallying cry. At Penguin Random House India, we are committed to publishing strong female role models, and are immensely proud of having Priyanka Chopra on that list.”

Priyanka in recent years has turned into a de facto ambassador for India in Hollywood. She starred in all three seasons of the ABC spy-thriller, Quantico, before its cancellation was announced earlier in 2018. She also made her film debut with the Dwayne Johnson-Zack Efron action-comedy, Baywatch.

Besides her on screen appearances, Priyanka has established herself as a permanent fixture on glamourous red carpets - from the prestigious Met Gala to the Oscars. She is also a vocal advocate for refugee’s rights in her role as a UN Ambassador.

Priyanka will be making her Bollywood comeback with Salman Khan’s Bharat, which is expected to begin shooting soon.
