Detectives investigating the murder of John “Goldfinger” Palmer have revealed the spy hole through which the notorious gangster was tracked before being shot dead.
Officers have revealed the gangland kingpin was “stalked like an animal” before being executed in cold blood as he lay on the ground, as his family announced they are doubling the reward to £100,000 in the hope of encouraging an underworld informant to come forward with information.
Mr Palmer, who earned his nickname after being implicated in the infamous Brink’s-Mat gold bullion heist in 1983, was shot six times in the garden of his secluded mansion on 24 June 2015.
