Steve Jones has found the owner of the teeth he found on the ground.

Steve Jones has found his toothless Cinderella only two days after starting his search.

On Tuesday the New Plymouth man posted on Neighbourly that he had found some dentures which he saved from being taken by the tide and wanted to locate their owner.

"I am delighted to report that, thanks to publicity on Neighbourly and on the Daily News Stuff page, the owner of the partial denture I found at Puke Ariki Landing before high tide snaffled it on Tuesday morning has been re-united with it," Jones said in an e-mail on Thursday morning.

"Unfortunately, the owner was not the female geriatric of my dreams, but an old bugger called Reggie, who was both embarrassed and amnesiac about how he lost it, but extremely grateful for its recovery, and at not having to have another plate made."
