Taking a break from their gruelling routines, Indian Navy personnel today performed asanas in the high seas on the occasion of the International Yoga Day.
INS Sahyadri was part of the recently-concluded Malabar trilateral maritime exercise involving the naval forces of India, Japan and the US.
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Sunil Lanba and Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra also participated in two separate Yoga Day events in the national capital.
Vice Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal S B Deo led the celebrations at the Air Force Station here.
Indian Army and Air Force personnel too participated in yoga events held at command centres and air bases in different parts of the country.
The International Yoga Day was also celebrated in the embassies of the US, France, Israel, Maldives and Australia.
"Best wishes for a happy and healthy #InternationalDayofYoga from all of us at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi! Our #AmericanYogi community started their day bright and early practicing #yoga. #InternationalYogaDay2018," the US Embassy here tweeted.
