VARANASI: A serving Army personal is facing police action for faking his father's abduction to get leave.

According to Nav Bharat Times, Ramdhani Pal of Jansa area near Varanasi is serving in Army. His family faked the abduction of his father, Bechu Pal, to seek leave from duty.

Bechu Pal, a mason by profession, disappeared while working at a construction site in Barema village last Saturday.

Bechu's wife lodged a missing complaint at Jansa police station and accused neighbour Vinod for abducting her husband.

The matter took another twist when Bechu Pal returned home on Tuesday. Following a detailed interrogation by local police, Bechu broke down and spilled the beans. Acting in-charge of Jansa police station, Surendra Yadav, told that the abduction was planned so that Ramdhani could get leave from his duty to come home.

Yadav further said that an action would be initiated against Ramdhani Pal and his mother for lodging false police complaint.
