Rubbish truck ploughs into Clifton Hills Primary school in Kelmscott, leaving driver trapped
Updated
A rubbish truck has crashed into a classroom at Clifton Hills Primary School in Kelmscott in Perth's south, but luckily the classroom was not being used at the time.
No children or staff were injured but it is understood the driver was left trapped in the wreckage after the accident.
Fire and Emergency Services crews were later able to free the driver, aged in her 50s, and she was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance, where she is understood to be in a stable condition.

WA Police, St John Ambulance officers and fire crews were called to the school shortly after 9:30am.
The building was a classroom in the junior part of the school, and children were evacuated to the oval.
Driver jumped in cab to stop truck
Troy Lugton told ABC Radio Perth the truck appeared to be seriously damaged.
"(It) just ploughed through the wall," he said.
"The whole front of the truck was flat, if there was anyone in the truck they would be hurt."

Neighbour Trevor Bushell described seeing the truck start to roll down the hill before the woman jumped in the cab to try and pull the handbrake.
"It happened very, very quickly and gathered momentum," he said.
"By that time it was gone, it was on it's way and I thought, 'nothing is going to stop this'.
"By the time I got out of the door it was in the school."
Mr Bushell said he saw the driver in her orange vest leaning over the chair trying to activate a brake but it was too late.
