Police have arrested a man over a shooting in Melton South in May.
Brodie Cooper, 28, was arrested in Ballarat overnight.
He was taken to hospital under police guard for injuries he sustained that were unrelated to his arrest.
He is expected to face twelve charges including firearm and assault offences.
Police had issued a warrant for Cooper which included an image of one of his tattoos which read "Dead Men Tell No Tails."
