FALL RIVER — You may have noticed a few signs posted around the city lately with one simple word painted across them: LOVE.

The signs were created by Fall River local, Christopher Antao, on the pursuit to raise awareness towards his anti-bullying project.

Community. Kindness. Compassion. Love.

These are the messages that Antao wants to spread throughout our city.

Known for his many contributions to helping the community, sharing love and compassion. Antao’s newest project is an anti-bullying campaign, which can be known as “Post Love.” With a focus on social media, due to the rise in suicide rates and the lack of compassion online, specifically in politics, "Post Love" is centered on sharing love through social media posts rather than hate.

“This world needs more love,” Antao explains when describing why he chose to use the signs to fight against online bullying. Antao’s brand is built on love, everything he does for the community is done with love and compassion and he hopes this idea will improve the community by guiding kids to put love in everything they do.

“Inspire to do more and want more and be kinder,” is what Antao hopes the signs will do for the kids that see them. He believes bullying is something we can and should control, and he’s making strides to do so.

Antao is continually giving back to the community. Holding surf lessons through Gnome Surf; showcasing local artists in his downtown shop Gnome Create; working on the administrative team of Kennedy Donovan; and holding a “Summer Santa” fundraiser, accepting toy donations to give to children in need which will take place July 7 at his home.

Antao invites anyone who has an interest in helping with the Post Love cause to get in touch with him on one of his Facebook pages.

The signs may be small but they serve a big purpose, the same purpose Antao has for his Gnome Surf school: to instill love, value, and compassion into our youth.
