Parvathy will be seen opposite Prithviraj Sukumaran in the upcoming film Koode.

Anjali’s Menon’s Koode, slated to release in July, is one of the most anticipated Malayalam releases of the year. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran as Joshua and Nazriya Nazim as his sister, Jenny. Parvathy is paired opposite Prithviraj while Roshan Mathew is cast opposite Nazriya in this film. Parvathy plays the role of Sophie in the film. The official Facebook page of the film shared her look on Thursday.

Prithviraj also shared a picture on Wednesday about “#Koode Joshua’s love!” The two actor have worked together in the critically and commercially acclaimed film Ennu Ninde Moideen, where their chemistry was applauded by the audience. The two are also looking forward to the release of another film, My Story.

Speaking about the film, Prithviraj wrote on his Facebook page, “Like every son..I too idolised my father. He was my mentor, friend and hero. I remember wanting to grow up sooner..so that I could sit down for that “man to man” with him every now and then. I remember him as someone who knew everything..EVERYTHING. But just as I was evolving into this little man..I lost him. He left me with so many little and big things that I could never do with him..and worse..he left me with that “I wish I knew” feeling. There on..I mostly discovered the man he was through little snippets and anecdotes I got from people who knew him. From my mom, brother, his friends and colleagues..I discovered a side of my father I never knew. And today..who he is in my mind..is part who I knew through the 13 years of my life..and part who I’ve been told he was. Strangely..Joshua too had to in a way lose his father..though not to death..at the exact same age as I did! And then..years later..Joshua too re discovers his father..in a broken version of the man he once knew..and little stories that people around him tell him. KOODE..according to Anjali..is Joshua’s story. But I know for sure..that it’s as much Joshua’s father’s story.Happy father’s day dad. Happy father’s day Aloshy. Happy father’s day to every child’s hero!”

The film revolves around Aloshy, played by Ranjith, and his two kids and how their life takes a turn when love enters the equation. Parvathy had shared, “Here is a heartwarming tale that gently nudges your heart to beat better. A tale that ever so tenderly takes you by your hands and reminds you that love shall never leave you. Here is “Koode” for you!”
