STAUNTON - The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the following areas:

The warning has been issued until 9:45 p.m. Thursday.

According to NWS, some locations that may experience flooding include — Staunton, Waynesboro, Monterey, Stuarts Draft, Crimora, Sherando, Fishersville, Verona, Lyndhurst, Greenville, New Hope, Augusta Springs, Middlebrook, Churchville, Deerfield, Head Waters, Hermitage, Liberty, Buffalo Gap and Vanderpool.

A flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring, the NWS said, take necessary precautions immediately.
