BBC weather forecast: Britain set to bask in 30C HEATWAVE next week
BRITAIN will be hit by another heatwave starting this weekend with temperatures reaching up to 30C despite a chilly start to Friday morning, BBC Weather has reported.
UK weather is about to get warmer and Britons will be able to bask in the sun once again as temperatures could reach up to 30C next week, BBC weather have warned.
BBC Weather forecaster Ben Rich warned temperatures will go considerably down on Friday morning just hours before a new heatwave will hit the country.
He said: “A lovely evening to enjoy the sunset, 9.20pm in London, half past ten across Northern Ireland and Scotland.
“Once the sun does go down, those temperatures will dip, you can see these green shades spreading across our temperature charts.

“Towns and cities down to single digits, some spots in the countryside getting down to 3C or 4C.
“So quite a cool start tomorrow morning but a bright start.
“It is going to be a beautiful day for most of us. If anything, more sunshine than we’ve had today.
“Always a bit more cloudy across Northern Ireland and Scotland and maybe the odd spots of rain.
Temperatures continue to climb through the weekend and into next week
“Still breezy here but not as windy elsewhere and those temperatures nudging up by a degree or so.
“Temperatures continue to climb through the weekend and into next week.
“Some spots could hit 30C.”
The Met Office also said Britain will be struck with “soaring temperatures” in the last week of June, which could be a good sign for hay fever sufferers as the high temperatures threaten to kill off grass pollen.
Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin also said: “If you enjoy blue skies at this time of year and soaring temperatures, well, you’ll probably enjoy the rest of June 2018.
“The forecast is really quite settled. Dry and sunny for most places and yes, temperatures are set to soar – especially next week.”
The Met Office forecaster added: “Temperatures will rise day on day as we go through the weekend. So, by the time we get to Saturday we are looking at temperatures across the south into the mid-twenties.
“By Sunday those temperatures are set to rise so that will be widely over 20C by Sunday. But, as I said, these temperatures pleasant enough through the weekend. It’s really next week when we will start to see those temperatures rising. So, enjoy this weekend if you don’t like it too hot.”
