Reaction to the Executive Order from our Congressional delegation:

Rep. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., says, in part, that he supports the effort to keep families together and said, "I hope the Administration will reconsider this request and instead expedite the construction of facilities located near the border to adequately house families which have crossed into the United States illegally."

Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., stated, "I appreciate that the President has acknowledged what virtually everyone said from the beginning -- that this was a policy started by the administration that they had the ability to reverse or fix at any time. I'm reviewing the President's Executive Order, but I'm glad we appear to be moving toward a policy that keeps children with their parents."

Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., added, "The President's executive order together with the legislation I'm cosponsoring should put us in position to enforce the law at the border and do it in a way where we keep families together."
