As Kevin Knox was meeting with NBA teams ahead of Thursday night's draft, one team insisted on learning more about his baby.

The only problem?

He doesn't have one.

"One team, I don't know what team it was ... they asked if I had a kid," Knox told reporters in New York on Wednesday. "They were like, 'I heard you had a kid on the way.' I'm like, 'I don't have a baby.' They were like, 'You sure? I want to know its name.' "

But Knox, a freshman forward out of Kentucky who's a projected lottery pick, held his ground.

"They were just pressing me about it just to see how I react, see if I budged," Knox said. "Didn't budge at all, because I have no babies."

According to Sports Illustrated, the team then finally relented, admitting it was a hoax.

As far as weird questions asked to NBA draft prospects go, this has to be near the top of the list.
