BRUSSELS—Separatist and far-right attacks have increased in Europe, particularly in the U.K., but also in France and Spain, according to the European Union’s law enforcement agency, Europol.
Overall, 205 terrorist attacks were carried out, foiled or failed in 2017, according to Europol’s annual report, published Wednesday. More than one third of those were shootings and bombings in Northern Ireland, targeting soldiers, police and prison officers.
