A vehicle crash involving a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle sent one man to the hospital and caused a roadblock on Alico Road near Green Meadow Road in San Carlos Park.
The Florida Highway Patrol is on the scene of the crash, which has shut down Alico from both directions at Green Meadow.
The driver of the passenger car, who was not wearing a seat belt according to the FHP bat the scene, was trauma-alerted to the hospital, according to the San Carlos Park Fire Department.
The FHP said the man did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
Motorists should seek an alternate route.
