Bhushan Pradhan’s key to a fitter lifestyle with yoga

Actor Bhushan Pradhan feels yoga is a wonderful way to start one’s day and aims at practising it regularly under professional guidance

Bhushan Pradhan is known for his healthy eating and fit lifestyle. The Aamhi Doghi actor has now added a new routine to his daily regimen, yoga. For someone who has always been fond of weight training, Bhushan surprised all by taking up yoga. Talking about it on International Day of Yoga, Bhushan says, “People often have this misconception that when you exercise in the gym or pick a lot of weights, then you lose all your flexibility. Also, many would discuss that yoga is not meant for those who go to the gym. I wanted to check this out for myself. And, to be honest, I also thought that I may not be flexible enough to do yoga.”

Bhushan was in for a surprise when he attempted the fitness routine. “I went online and checked the basic asanas. I was able to imitate them. I was surprised at how our body immediately adapts to what’s good for us. I am at a beginner’s level now and will soon take up professional guidance for advanced yoga.”

The actor shares that within a month, he has already started to feel the benefits of yoga. “So, I was curious as to how I adapted to yoga so quickly and did some research. This is when I realised that my peace of mind, calmness and muscle strength made it easier for me. Also, my physical and mental state are in tandem.”

Bhushan adds that youngsters especially should take up yoga. “There is no age to start yoga. But in this day and age, when everyone wants a sculpted body in a rush, it is important that we take up strength building and peace enhancing routines,” he says.
