Adding fresh produce to the menu is key to staying healthy.

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program provides $20 in vouchers for nutritious fresh fruit and vegetables to low income seniors.

Program participants must be age 60 or older and have an income at or below the maximum gross household income of 185% of annual poverty income guidelines. They must live in Wichita Falls Area Food Bank’s 12-county service area - Archer, Baylor, Clay, Foard, Haskell, Jack, Knox, Montague, Throckmorton, Wichita, Wilbarger or Young counties.

Qualified seniors can pick up SFMNP vouchers in Wichita Falls at:

Catholic Charities, 907 Holliday St., 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Downtown Wichita Falls Farmers Market, 713 Ohio St., 8 a.m.-noon Saturday June 23, July 28

Floral Heights Community Food Pantry, 2214 10th St., 9:30 -11 a.m. Monday and Thursday

Martin Luther King Center, 1100 Smith St., 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday

Pick up SFMNP vouchers in Vernon at:

Cupboard by Grace, 4111 Paradise St, 3:30-5:30 p.m. the second, third and fourth Mondays of the month.

Vernon College Senior Center, 4400 Augusta, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday – Friday

In Jacksboro pick up SFMNP vouchers at:

Jacksboro Community Food Pantry, 231 Second St., 2:30-6 p.m., third Monday

To pick up vouchers qualified seniors who live in Olney, Clay County or Graham need to check with their local food pantries or call Social Services Coordinator Pam King at 940-249-4962.
