ANDY MURRAY has explained why he was holding his back during his clash with Nick Kyrgios.

The Scot shot out of the blocks to take the first set 6-2 in front of a packed out home crowd.
However, midway through the battle his performance began to dip as Kyrgios took the second set.
And to make matters worse,

“I mean, it is amazing how, like it was literally on the sort of the time, I guess it was like an hour 45 minutes, hour 50 minutes in, which is like literally 10, 15 minutes more than what I have been doing in practice.
