THANE: A video of a Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable molesting a woman commuter at
Kalyan railway station has gone viral on the social media.
The video recorded by a passenger shows the accused constable touching a woman on her back who was sitting beside him at the railway station. Some passengers, including a relative of the woman, spotted the constable touching her and raised alarm.
The RPF immediately
suspended constable Rajesh Jahangir and ordered a departmental inquiry after the video was widely shared on the social media. RPF sources said the incident took place on June 18 at 10.03pm when the victim with a small child and a relative of her were waiting for a long-distance train at platform number 4/5.
