Anyone who has driven in Windsor's east end this week knows a major road construction project has begun.
Crews are digging up a stretch of Riverside Drive between Lauzon Road and Riverdale Avenue.
The street closed Monday, June 18th and will not re-open for six months.
This is part of the Vista improvement project on Riverside, and includes sewer work, curbs, sidewalks and bike lanes.
The city is spending more than $6 million on the work.
There have been backups on Wyandotte Street as drivers are forced to take detours.
