Facelifted 2019 Jeep Renegade Shown in Full
The 2019 Jeep Renegade has been shown in full in Europe.
While the Renegade model pictured here is the European-spec version, we’re expecting the US-spec Renegade to get similar visual updates. The changes include a new front fascia with standard LED daytime running lights, available LED taillamps and new wheel options, including new 19-inch wheels for Limited models. Jeep says the goal of the visual updates was to make the Renegade look more like a mini Wrangler JL.
Inside, the 2019 Renegade gets a redesigned center console with a built-in smartphone holder, new cupholders, additional storage compartments and an additional USB port. Interior upholstery colors for 2019 include Trespass Black, Polar Plunge, Ski Grey, and Black Leather.
While they will likely be exclusive to European-spec 2019 Renegades, the bite-sized crossover has also received a new line of Euro 6 compliant turbocharged gas engines. The lineup includes a 120 hp 1.0-liter three-cylinder, a 150 hp 1.3-liter four-cylinder and a 180 hp 1.3-liter four-cylinder. The 1.0-liter is only offered with a six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive, while the 1.3-liters are offered with a dual-clutch automatic and either front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.
The European-spec 2019 Jeep Renegade will go on sale in September. We’ll bring you full details on the version for North America as soon as they become available.
