The incident came to light after the girl’s father lodged a complaint with Barachana police.  According to the complainant, the girl was taking private tuition from Sahu.

“The teacher requested the girl’s parents to send their daughter for tuition separately so that he could focus on her progress in studies. The girl’s parents agreed to do the same. But, he took advantage of the situation and proposed the girl,” police said.

The accused is married and father of two children. The 15-year-old girl had spurned his proposal several times.“On Monday, the teacher proposed to her again. He attempted to lure her by promising to help her in her studies,” police added. The girl narrated the incident to her mother, after which a complaint was filed against the accused.
