UK weather forecast: Met Office says UK is HEATING up as temperatures SOAR next week
BRITAIN is heating up and the scorching temperatures are set to continue over the weekend and get even hotter in the last week of June, according to the Met Office.
Brits are told to brace for soaring temperatures as Met Office forecasts warn the country will be hit with “even hotter” weather next week.
The Met Office long-range weather forecast reads: “During the last week of the month dry, fine and sometimes very warm weather is expected to continue in southern and central parts and this fine, settled weather is also expected for much of the week across northern parts of the country too.
“However, from time to time conditions will become unsettled and generally cooler in the northwest with short-lived spells of rain or showers possible along with stronger winds.”
Brits have been warned to prepare for high humidity levels and soaring heat to continue into the start of July.

Met Office meteorologist Martin Bowles added: “There is a general feel that temperatures will remain above average through the rest of the month.”
BBC Weather forecaster Carol Kirkwood said temperatures could reach up to 30C next week.
The BBC Weather meteorologist said: “Temperatures starting to climb by a degree or so.
“In fact, as we go into Saturday and Sunday that will be the trend.
“Temperatures continuing to rise and it looks at the moment as if somewhere in the south-east, perhaps on Tuesday, could hit 30C for the first time this year.”
The hot weather is set to continue through the week as temperatures remain in the mid-twenties, according to BBC Weather.
James Madden, forecaster for Exacta Weather, also insisted the scorching temperatures are set to continue. He said: “Our high confidence projections continue to show a massive build of high pressure across our shores from later this week onwards.
“This is likely to bathe the country in another prolonged period of very hot weather of potentially epic proportions during the final third of June and into July.
“It is now becoming plausible that we could see temperatures approaching or exceeding the 30C (86F) mark across many parts of the country at times within this period."
