The owner of the Beaver Valley Mall has sold the outparcel that houses the Burger King restaurant along Beaver Valley Mall Boulevard.
CENTER TWP. — The owner of the Beaver Valley Mall has sold the outparcel that houses the Burger King restaurant along Beaver Valley Mall Boulevard.
According to a document filed with the county recorder of deeds, an entity called Beaver Valley Mall LLC sold the 1.14 acre parcel to a company called CJSP Properties. The sale price was listed at $1.02 million.
It’s unclear who the owner of CJSP Properties is, but that same company bought a Burger King parcel in Economy in May for $1.35 million. That sale was made because the owners of the Northern Lights shopping plaza are selling parcels in an effort to help pay for ongoing renovations at the plaza.
That situation isn’t all too different from what’s happening at the mall.
In April of 2017, the owners of the mall received approval from Center Township to begin selling off 11 parcels outside of the footprint of the mall. At the time, the owners said they intended to take profits from those sales and put the money back into mall improvements.
In addition to the Burger King, some of those parcels have already been sold. PJ Latsko, the owner of the Beaver Valley Auto Mall, purchased the land his business sits on as well as the former Tropical Fun Zone property.
Latsko in February paid $2.2 million for the two parcels, a combined 8.6 acres.
It’s not clear if the recently-purchased plot will remain as a Burger King.
