Maharashtra CM directs BMC to regularise about 2,700 sanitation workers within three months |
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to take about 2,700 sanitation workers in regular service within three months.
He said that they should be taken into service as per the directions of the Supreme Court. Mr Fadnavis chaired a meeting at the Mantralaya yesterday where various issues were discussed.
According to an official release, there were difficulties in regularising the service of these employees because of discrepancies in spellings of their names in documents.
