Andy Murray makes SHOCK Wimbledon and Eastbourne admission after Queen’s exit

Murray made his eagerly-anticipated return at Queen’s this afternoon following almost 12 months sidelined with a hip injury.

The Brit played Nick Kyrgios in the opening round but fell to a 6-2, 6-7, 5-7 defeat in front of a packed out 

Murray does not have any more tournaments in his schedule ahead of Wimbledon and there are serious questions over his fitness, especially if he were to go the full five sets at a Grand Slam.

But the 31-year-old has now revealed that he is thinking about playing the ATP 250 event in Eastbourne next week and focusing on his rehabilitation thereafter.

“Yeah I won’t rule anything out,” Murray said.

“I wouldn’t rule out playing Eastbourne and not playing Wimbledon.

“I wouldn’t rule out not playing a tournament next week and trying to matches like in an exhibition tournament as well to get ready for Wimbledon.

“I am not sure yet. I am really happy that I got out on the match court and played.

“It was a close decision, I have not been practicing loads at all.

”I have only been hitting for a couple of weeks and at the beginning it was only for about 30 minutes or so.

“I was happy I got out there and was respectable.

“I will have to wait and see what happens in the next few days and ask my team about that.

“I don’t know exactly what’s best for me.”
