Muggy Heat and More Storms

June 19, Morning Forecast

Good Tuesday morning folks. The hot and muggy week continues with temperatures once more rising from the 60s and low 70s to around 90 in the afternoon. Today's chance for rain will be brought to our northern counties by a summertime front settling over northeast New Mexico stretching to Kansas. Storms in these areas will be capable of quarter size hail and 60 mph wind gusts, while the tornado potential will be very low. Our friends in the Oklahoma Panhandle will also see storms this afternoon.

Tonight, this action starts moving south into the Texas Panhandle and we'll wake up to thunder in the area Wednesday morning. The front moves through our part of the world tomorrow, bringing highs down to the mid 80s again, and allowing for a few more showers to pop up.

We'll look for another round of storms Thursday into Friday morning.

Enjoy your Tuesday!
