Cape Coral police have arrested three men with lengthy criminal histories who they believe are responsible for a cocaine, heroin and Fentanyl distribution ring.

The department's Vice, Investigations & Narcotics Unit arrested the trio after a lengthy investigation concerning drug trafficking and sales, police said Tuesday.

According to a news release, Jeremiah Evans, 28, of Cape Coral, operated a narcotics operation on the 500 block of Diplomat Parkway East. 

During the investigation, the unit gathered evidence against Evans, Chaunce Neal, 28, of Cape Coral, and Felix Perkins, 30, of Fort Myers, involving the sale, distribution and possession of the three drugs.

About 1:40 p.m. Friday, detectives and the department's SWAT team served a narcotics search warrant at the Diplomat Parkway home. They arrested Evans, and officers found several firearms. 

About the same time, officers arrested Neal at the Golden Corral, 410 Andalusia Blvd. The release said he had approximately 30 grams of cocaine and 2.5 grams of Fentanyl. 

Evans and Neal were taken to Lee County Jail, where Perkins was already in custody.  

Neal had 14 charges leveled against him including three counts for the sale and possession of cocaine and three for sale and possession of heroin, possession of Fentanyl, cocaine trafficking and possession of a vehicle to traffic drugs. He is being held on $285,000 bond.  

Neal has had seven arrests in Lee County since 2009, including those for aggravated assault, driving with a suspended license, and cocaine possession.

Evans had 12 charges leveled against him, including two counts of sale and possession of cocaine, sale and possession of Fentanyl, and ownership of a vehicle to sell drugs. He is held on $165,000 bond.  

He has had nine arrests in Lee County since 2007, including cocaine possession, larceny, probation violations and resisting arrest.

Perkins had four charges leveled against him, including sale and possession of cocaine and ownership of a vehicle to sell drugs. He is being held on $35,000 bond.

He has been arrested seven times in Lee County since 2007 on charges including vehicle theft, cocaine possession and probation violations.

They are due in court July 16.
