New Smyrna Beach police said an armed suspect robbed a restaurant in their city on Tuesday.
An unknown man walked into the Denny's Restaurant in the 1800 block of State Road 44 at 12:52 p.m. holding a gun, said New Smyrna Beach police Lt. Shane Riggle.
According to dispatchers the suspect, described as a black male, came into the restaurant and acted like he was placing an order before he pulled out a black 9mm handgun and told the cashier to give him what was in the register.
The cashier gave the suspect the money and he left the restaurant. Police have searched for the suspect but so far have been unable to find him, Riggle said.
"No force was used, just the presentation of a gun," Riggle said.
