Mohamed Salah: Arsenal ace Mohamed Elneny opens up on ‘best friend’
ARSENAL midfielder Mohamed Elneny has paid a glowing tribute to Mohamed Salah as the Liverpool star gets ready to make his first appearance of the World Cup.
Salah missed Egypt’s last-gasp 1-0 defeat to Uruguay but has been named in the starting line-up for tonight’s clash against Russia.
Egypt have never beaten European opposition at the World Cup but need a win to stay in the tournament.
And all eyes will be on Salah, who enjoyed a record-breaking season for Liverpool with 42 goals in all competitions.
But his World Cup has been disrupted by a shoulder injury sustained in the Champions League loss to Real Madrid.

He’s a great person that you love to know. I’m happy to have been with him since the beginning and he has not changed in nine years
Elneny played alongside Salah for Egyptian side El Mokawloon and then Swiss club Basel.
And the Arsenal ace is a huge fan of Salah as he opened up on their close relationship.
“I was playing for Al Ahly and he came to the club to see me,” Elneny told Arsenal Player.

“He’s a wonderful personal. A year later, I went to El Mokawloon.
“He became my close friend there, then we became best friends.
