BJP is gearing up for proposed public rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Maghar — a non-descript town in Sant Kabir Nagar district where 15th Century poet Sant Kabir chose to die — on June 28, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath calling  a meeting of BJP workers in Gorakhnath temple on Tuesday.

A senior BJP leader Dr Dharmendra Singh said that Prime Minister will come to Maghar on June 28.

“He will stay here for four hours. He will visit the shrine at Maghar and later address a public rally. Later he will leave for New Delhi,” he said.

Singh said that Yogi will be coming to Gorakhpur on Tuesday where he will have a meeting with local leaders and officials about the proposed PM’s visit.

CM is again expected to come on June 23 when he will have meetings with law makers and senior leaders.

Party’s organization secretary Sunil Bansal is also expected to attend the meeting, he said.
