New Server Sundaram teaser features Santhanam and his knife skills. Watch video

Santhanam’s upcoming film Server Sundaram, which is slated to release on July 6, is about a chef and his need to earn recognition for his talents. Santhanam plays the role of a chef along with late veteran actor Nagesh's grandson, Bijesh. The two take part in a cooking reality show and try to beat their competitors. The new teaser for the film showcases Santhanam’s knife skills.

The teaser also features Vaibhavi, who plays a pivotal role in the film. Server Sundaram is directed by Anand Balhi and the music for the film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The film is produced by Kenanya Films and Miraacle Movies’ J Selvakumar and Balachandar.

Server Sundaram also happens to be the title of a 1964 hit starring Nagesh, which was then produced by AVM Productions. It was producer Selvakumar who bought the title rights of the film.

The film was shot in and around SRM University in Chennai and Santhanam reportedly trained at a five star restaurant in Chennai. Server Sundaram was initially supposed to release in September 2017, however, after delays due to post production work and the strike that happened in Tamil film industry in early 2018, the film was given a July 6 release.
