PATIALA: Even as the district police on Tuesday constituted 20 teams to trace the robbers who had killed two people at the
Guru Nanak filling Station at village
Chamar Heri village on the Patiala-Chandigarh highway late Sunday night, but a major breakthrough continued to elude the police investigators even on the third day of the crime.
One of the police officials said that team were working in tandem with the senior officials and had been able to get more footages from CCTVs installed along the Patiala-Chandigarh Highway. The cops are also trying to get the sketches of three accused prepared from the descriptions that have been provided by the eyewitnesses who were present at the spot when the assailants gunned down truck driver Kuldeep Singh and
Davinder Singh of Alampur village.
It was also learnt that the cops had detained around 15 history sheeters of the areas who were being interrogated by the police at various police stations across the city.
Three armed robbers had looted Rs 11000 persons at the Guru Nanak filling station on Sunday night. They had used a .32 bore pistol to shoot death Kuldeep and Davinder. While Kuldeep was present at the petrol station at the time of the crime, Davinder was having his dinner at the adjoining
dacha and had rushed to the petrol station to catch the robbers after hearing the gunshot.
The police on Tuesday evening released the CCTV grab of one of the accused persons who is believed to a member of the gang that has carried out the robbery at the petrol station on Sunday night.
