BHUBANESWAR:BJP president Amit Shah is coming on a day’s visit to the State on July 1, said State BJP general secretary Prithiviraj Harichandan.

Shah, who last visited the State in April first week and addressed public meetings at Balangir and Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district, will review organisational matters. “He will hold meetings with State office-bears, district presidents and district and State prabharis. So far, there is no plan of him addressing any public meeting,” sources in the party said.

Commenting on Shah’s upcoming visit, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram said the national president is coming to review organisational works.Recalling Shah’s statement in the national executive committee meeting of the party here last year that “golden era” of the BJP will come when it will come to power in Odisha and West Bengal, Oram said the focus of the leadership is on the two States. All members of the State BJP are working in this direction, he added.
