A recent post by Perryton ISD has gone viral in the town after a Netherlands man named Perry Ton decided to contact the school about the name.
Perry says he found out about the city more than 10 years ago.
"I mean, who doesn't Google himself someday."
Darin Clark says about two to three months ago, Perry contacted the school district and started to ask questions about the school district and town.
Clark was able to get donations from the Perryton ISD Booster Club and the Perryton Chamber of Commerce to send Perry some clothes and other items bearing his name.
Perry says he would love to visit the town that bears his name but he says that it isn't realistic right now.
"Obviously it would a pretty expensive trip, and I'm just a poor student. But who knows, someday."
