Sanchez and Martial hope
Jose Mourinho doubts Alexis Sanchez will be as bad next season - and could yet keep Anthony Martial.
29-year-old toiled for the Red Devils, finding the net just three times despite picking up a huge £400,000 a week salary.
Manchester United are, however, reportedly hoping for better next season.
The Manchester Evening News say Mourinho accredits his dire displays last term to exhaustion, with Sanchez knackered after four years of hectic football.
Chile are not at the World Cup this year, having missed out during South American qualifying.
United reportedly feel he will be a different player following a summer break and bedding-in period.
And the MEN say that Mourinho could yet keep Martial.
Navas’ De Gea fear
Manchester United star David De Gea wouldn’t be welcomed at Real Madrid by Keylor Navas.
According to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, United No 1 De Gea or Roma stopper Alisson will join Real this summer.
Navas is likely to be sold in the coming weeks, with the Costa Rica international refusing to play second string at Real next season.
Don Balon also claim that Navas has told Real he will leave the Bernabeu if De Gea joins this summer.
The Real No 1 feels De Gea would slot straight into Julen Lopetegui’s starting line-up next season, reducing his game time.
De Gea reportedly has plenty of friends in the Real dressing room - and Navas knows he would be on borrowed time if the United ace returned to La Liga.
Larsson regret
Henrik Larsson has revealed leaving Manchester United was the only regret of his career.
Larsson joined Manchester United on a two-month loan in January 2007.
He was set to return to Helsingborg in March that year for the start of the Swedish domestic season.
United wanted to keep the striker for longer but he had made a promise to his family over his return date.
“That’s the only regret I have in my career, that I didn’t stay on,” the Swede said on the ITV Sport World Cup podcast.
“Not for the money, but just from belonging to that great club Manchester United was fantastic.
“The way they took care of me, my family, the family lived in Sweden and they travelled back and forth.
Mourinho wants Boateng
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has backed a move for Bayern Munich star Jerome Boateng, reports in Spain claim.
Don Balon claim Bayern defender Boateng could be United’s third summer signing.
They say Mourinho has given the green light for Red Devils transfer chiefs to sign the former City defender in the coming weeks.
Don Balon also claim that Real Madrid are also keen to sign Boateng, 29.
